For many years, it had been Craig and Navine’s dream to open an Indian Restaurant in Spain. Having worked for catering companies and Indian restaurants in London, and having also been a “Cobra” award-winning student at the “Asian Academy” in London, they decided to sell up, pack the car and drive to Spain in search of the perfect location.
Warm summer nights may be enjoyed dining under a canopy of grape vines on the garden terrace, whilst cooler winter evenings may be spent near the cosy open fire with romantic candle-lit tables and an eclectic mix of background music. The old stone interiors have been spiced up with Indian fabrics, throws and plush red velvet curtain.
The restaurant brings together cuisine from the different regions of India such as Goa, Kerela, Punjab, Andra Pradesh and Kashmir. Choose from a delicious array of dishes from the chalkboard menu including the tempting tandoori Dorada (sea bream cooked in the traditional clay oven) or try braised duck breast with a tangy tamarind sauce or roast rack of lamb with masala mash.
You can find also more traditional dishes such as chicken Jalfrezi, lamb Dhansak and Goan prawn curry as well as a good selection of vegetarian dishes such as saag paneer (spinach and Indian cheese), various dhals (lentils tempered with garlic and mustard seeds) and chole bhature (curried chickpeas with fluffy, fried Indian bread).
With wines to suit every palate, friendly but attentive service and a unique, cosy, relaxing ambience the Cardamom Club will make you feel part of Craig and Navine's dream.
